RESERVATIONS FOR VARIOUS CATEGORIES AS PER GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES
- The scheme is open to all state subjects of J&K State.
- Applicant or any of his family member should not own any residential House/Plot/lease basis allotted by the J&K Housing Board/SDA/JDA/Housing Corporation/Federation or Government or semi- Government undertakings in Jammu Province.
- The applicant must have attained the age of 18 years and should be an independent earning hand on the last date fixed for submission of application form.
- An eligible person, his or her spouse, or any of his/her dependent members can submit more than one application under the scheme, but shall be entitled for allotment of one plot only.
- The applicant, his/her wife/husband or dependent relatives who were earlier allotted House/Flat by the Housing Board and has transferred the same to some other person under the transfer policy of the Board is not entitled to get his name registered for fresh allotment.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITION
Middle Income Group (MIG) and High Income Group (HIG) Categories: Special categories:
- The applicants of reserve categories namely Scheduled Castes, Handicapped, Blind Persons, Backward Classes, Freedom Fighters, Disabled Serviceman, War Widows and Widows should be domicile of J&K.
- The applicants for whom reservation is provided under Regulation 7 should not own a house in J&K in his/her name or spouse's name or in the name of any dependent family members.
- Attested copy of State Subject Certificate.
- Attested copy of State Subject Certificate of Husband (In case of married female Applicant only).
- Latest Passport size photograph attested/pasted on the Application Form (With two spare photographs).
- Photocopy of Brochure duly signed, each page, by the Applicant.
General Categories:
The Scheme is open to all State Subject of J&K State.
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- The applicant must be a domicile of J&K.
- The applicant must have attained the age of 18 Years at the time of registration.
- An eligible person, his or her spouse, or any of his/her dependent members cannot submit more than one application under the scheme.
- The applicant, his/her wife/husband or dependent relatives who were earlier allotted House/Flat by the Housing Board and has transferred the same to some other person under the transfer policy of the Board is not entitled to get his name registered for five years from the date of transfer.
Income group for eligibility will be as under:
- Category Monthly family income at the time of registration
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Upto Rs.2500/- P.M.
- Low Income Group (LIG) From Rs.2501/- to Rs.5500/- P.M.
- Middle Income Group (MIG) From Rs.550/- to Rs.10000/- P.M.
- Higher Income Group (HIG) Above Rs.10000/- P.M
Family income includes income of applicant, his/her spouse, unmarried minor children and dependent relatives.
Salary income includes besides other items, Basic Pay, D.A., A.D.A., H.R.A. (in excess of 10% of basic pay), C.C.A., other allowances, special Pay, Interim Relief, Overtime allowance and fee, Commission, pre-requisites, Profit in lieu of or in addition to any salary or wages etc.
RESERVATION
The J&K Housing Board makes reservation of houses for following categories
- Depositors of 25% of the total cost and any amount over and above 25% including full cost at the time of registration
- J&K State Government Employees.
- J&K State Government Employees who have more than 5 years of service at application to retire.
- J&K State Government Employees who have 5 years or less service according to rules relating to their superannuation.
- Retired J&K Government Employees
- J&K Housing Board Employees (Spill over houses shall go to State Government Employees referred to in Column No.
